Travel Tip My first attempt to visit “the land of the ice & snow” was scheduled for December – not very sensible as there would have been just a few hours of daylight. In the end we timed our visit for the end of May – the weather was perfect and the big rush of tourists had yet to get under way. My advice is to avoid the Golden Loop and make your own way further afield. Have fun!
